I like the comparison to kabuki: Think about the Zombification of Japan's banks and culture. Are we headed towards a broken society of cyber losers and the pornification of cartoons in lieu of reality? My history books tell me that Japan was a nation of discipline and sobriety; my history books tell me the same of the United States.
